To make MAC's Velvet Teddy, you need:
- a light-nude and red lipstick
- Apply a coat of your nude lipstick to both lips and blot on a tissue.
- Take your lip brush and dab it onto the purple or red lipstick of your choice, then sweep the brush along the line of your bottom lip and the arch. As this is LIPSTICK, keep it on the lip, not around the outside (you'll look silly).Â
- Blend it upwards towards the centre, mixing the nude and toned lipstick together subtly.Â
- Take more of the red lipstick and paint it onto the corners of your lips, blending it inwards while leaving about a finger-space of the previous colour in the middle.
- Lightly brush some powder over your lips to set, blow off the excess and blot.
- Go over the top of your lips with the nude again and blot (lots of blotting, I know!)
- (optional) Brush a tiny bit more of the red into the corners of your lips for a contoured effect.Â
- Sweep a little powder across your lips again to give a matte look. This will add the final layer to your lips and set them perfectly!
- (optional) I like to dab a little bit of highlighter or a bright concealer into the middle to really make my lips pop. Only do this if you know how to without spoiling the colour!

Finish with a setting spray. If your lips feel a little dry, dab a tiny bit of lip balm onto your finger then onto your lips! They should stay set no matter what but if you need to reapply, you only need to pop on a tiny bit of each colour over the top and blend.
